A few creative outlets on the side...
Side Projects. Are. Fun! Read what Lifehacker and Smashing Magazine have to say about it.
My side projects revolve around my passion for people, food and public speaking (in no particular order).

greenbreadWhen I started travelling, one of my favorite activities was settling down in a bus-stop or a corner of a town square to watch people. This gradually turned into watching people with a camera in hand. That's how I stumbled into the world of street photography and greenbread was born to document my clicks.
I'm not big on the technicalities of photography but I love framing people in interesting scenes that tell a micro-story. Analogue photography fascinates me and I also use my Lomo cameras when I'm not too lazy. |
brownscapebrownscape is about documenting my passion for public speaking. I've been on stage in numerous avatars - as a moderator, MC, speaker and actor.
I still get a tiny case of the butterflies in my stomach everytime I go onstage but the chance to engage deeply with an audience - priceless! |
tigermom & elephantguyTigermom (Nadja Schnetzler) and Elephantguy (Rakesh Kasturi) are two friends who like to come up with fun projects from time to time. We share a common love for great home-cooked food and try to incorporate it in their projects
We started out by celebrating International Restaurant Day on February 17th, 2013 by opening our own restaurant for a day in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland! |
Kurkumaah! Pop-up Restaurant
Kurkumaah! started as a fun project and is now a pop-up restaurant travelling across the globe. We've opened in Switzerland, Germany, Hungary and are heading to Portugal soon!
Indian fusion cuisine is the name of the game. And we make wholesome home-style veggie/vegan food that you'll never get in a standard Indian restaurant. The idea is to find quirky, interesting locations and turn the restaurant experience on its' head by making the atmosphere more social and engaging for the guests. At the same time, we maintain a healthy mix of creativity and consistency in bringing the food to the table. |
